There are three tar files associated with the Gnome apps.
(or you can install the depot and just NOT activate the desktop)

1) the etcoptgnome.tar should be copied to the
         /etc/opt directory and extracted there:
         tar xvf etcoptgnome.tar

2) the varoptgnome.tar should be copied to the
         /var/opt directory and extracted there:
         tar xvf varoptgnome.tar

3) the gnome.tar should be copied to the
         /opt directory and extracted there:
         tar xvf gnome.tar

4) the "right mouse menu" file:
