svcadm:

        edited  /etc/auto_direct


        FOUND two ways of updating autofs to make it read the file:


            svcadm restart autofs

        or
            svcadm disable autofs
            svcadm enable autofs:default


The "old" way was to use /etc/init.d/autofs reload (or restart),
        or even stop, then start YMMV)
